I have painted a number of landscapes in this style. I call them “my jewels”. They’re painted entirely with a palette knife and each small piece of paint is unique. Normally I paint slowly and methodically in the beginning but these are painted quickly and instinctively. Even though they’re painted quickly it’s a slow process with so many small pieces of paint. They have a wonderful textural quality.
